NY governor Andrew Cuomo is a monster

This takes the cake:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo kicked off a two-day visit to Israel on Wednesday, where he expressed "total solidarity" with the country over the monthlong war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

And by "total solidarity", it's clear that Cuomo means it's great that Israel killed kids, knowingly and repeatedly, with eyes wide open. That's totally okay in Cuomo's eyes and he wants Israel to know this with certainty. I can think of one other monster must have been very pleased to hear this.

Later Wednesday, Cuomo met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who praised Cuomo and the American government for "standing on the right side of the moral divide."

Indeed. Let's take a gander at that "moral divide", shall we?

More than 1,900 Palestinians have been killed in the fighting, Palestinian and UN officials say. Israel says 64 of its soldiers and three civilians have been killed in the war, which began July 8.

Cuomo's office said the governor and his delegation would not visit Palestinian territories or meet Palestinian officials during the 30-hour trip, despite a personal invitation by the Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations to experience "all sides of the conflict, not just one."

Nice, Cuomo, really nice. Folks, this is how megalomania works. It's all about Cuomo's future electoral success. Meeting with the Palestinians wasn't going to help Andrew Cuomo's career, so the hell with the Palestinian kids. What's a couple of thousand deaths in Gaza? No biggie.

Israel is a monster. Cuomo is a monster. It's lovely that they got together to have a drink over the dead bodies.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the creation of Israel was a nice idea but it has a location problem. So let's toss the people out of Utah and give the state to Israel. It would hold all the current Israelis with ease and it would be a fabulous destination for American Jews. And no one would bomb them. It's a win-win thing. They could even use those ridiculous LDS temples as religious gathering places. They're certainly not being put to any good use now.

And there would be peace in the middle east -- or at least, there would be no Jews dying there.

Male ultra-Orthodox Jews harass women in Israel

I've written about this before. "Ultra-Orthodox" Jews in Israel don't want mere women to be able to pray at the Western Wall (also called the Wailing Wall). Only men can talk to the imaginary being at the wall. Everyone knows that. And only men can wear the special imaginary-being accoutrements, such as shawls. Why is this the case? Because only men are special! That's why.

But recently the courts reversed longstanding policy and said women are entitled to pray at the wall. So did Israel's male ultra-Orthodox Jews obey this legal decision? Of course not!

Israeli police with metal barriers and human chains on Friday held back thousands of ultra-Orthodox protesters who tried to prevent a liberal Jewish women's group from praying at a key holy site, the first time police have come down on the side of the women and not the protesters.  

It didn't end well, either.

Israeli TV video showed a packed Western Wall plaza with police forming a ring around the women and others shoving back ultra-Orthodox men. Female police officers had aligned in a human chain around young women protesters who were peering out at the Women of the Wall.

Pruce said police escorted the Women of the Wall out of the area after they finished their service and boarded them on buses, which were then pelted with stones as they left the Old City. 

These guys really, really hate women.

Many Israelis also feel the ultra-Orthodox attempt to impose their values on the rest of society, with their activists pushing for gender-segregated buses and sidewalks, defacing billboards showing women or trying to force women to dress modestly. 

The Jewish "ultra-Orthodox" god must be a really swell fella. His followers, too.

It's about time

JERUSALEM (AP) — An Israeli court has instructed police to stop detaining women for performing religious rituals that ultra-Orthodox Jews say are reserved for men. 

Why are religious men -- no matter the religion -- consistently appalling? Why must they attack women all the goddamn time? Why is that? Unfortunately, the article ends with this:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently gave preliminary support to a compromise plan to create a new section for mixed-gender prayers. 

I'm sorry but that won't do. There are no special places in this world where only men can talk to imaginary beings. That can be done anywhere. These guys must think that god adores penises. And why would that be, I wonder? Didn't their imaginary overlord create everyone, including women?

Twits. And remember, this attitude spans most religions. Muslims hate women. Fundamentalists hate women. The Vatican hates women. And Orthodox Jews hate women.

I guess the "truth" is that god hates women. There's no other moral that can be gleaned from these attitudes. What a weird imaginary creature god must be. Personally, I like Santa Claus much, much better. At least he's not a bigot.

Same anti-women story in Jewish religion

As Muslims strive to keep women uneducated and hidden away, and Catholics await word from their new pope about the status of women in the church, another religion also keeps women underfoot.

Israeli police on Thursday detained five women at a Jerusalem holy site for performing religious rituals that ultra-Orthodox Jews say are reserved for men.

It's the same old story: women are unworthy of interaction with gods. They are intrinsically "unclean". Thus, they do not deserve male respect and mustn't be allowed to touch the super-special magic items that every man can touch. That would be a sin and it would make the baby Jesus/Allah/Yaweh cry!

About 120 women arrived Thursday morning for their monthly prayer service and police detained five for wearing prayer shawls, said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Mustn't wear the magic garments! Nuh uh-uh. Can't do.

Religion doesn't like women. It never has and it never will. It amazes me that women don't secede from religion en masse. Wouldn't that be great? No religious man would have a religious wife, and the wives and girlfriends and daughters would laugh at the religious males. And of course, they would never have sex with a religious guy. This could be an effective movement if men weren't the vicious, hateful creatures that they are. Because let's face it: they'd kill the women if they wouldn't have sex with them and wouldn't "respect" their idiotic relationship with an imaginary being.

Religion is a cesspool. That's the short version of this and every story about religion. It needs to be wiped off the face of the Earth.

Declining sperm quality

There's a story in the LA Times today about the declining quality of human sperm worldwide, and especially in Israel. This is not a minor thing. In fact, it's scary.

And of course, the authorities are poo-pooing the whole thing. No problem here, move along. It's insane. This is about our future. Resources have to be focused on this problem immediately.
